Inspired by Cathy Nelson’s review of her professional year http://blog.cathyjonelson.com/?p=1002 , here are highlights of our Library year. Already, planning is underway for 3 major new projects for 2010… It was hard to draw the line to keep the list concise, so the many competitions and usual Library activities have not been specifically mentionned. February [...]

Glogster is very useful for creating posters, indexes, and graphic interactive webpages. Glogster can also be used to create your own blog widget that is just a link to a website as shown below right where the spider links to the public part of my netvibes site. Weakness for widgets

December 18, 2009 | 1 Comment

As you can see from this site, I am fond of widgets. I have just added retaggr and card.ly widgets to the right sidebar for comparison, and have not decided one which to keep. They have slightly different standard add-site options – retaggr does not have google as a standard choice – how strange. These [...]

This was to assist reading recovery for secondary students. “Readability” is interesting, not only in relation to recommending books, but also in relation to our own writing. The following site allows checking of writing for readability http://www.online-utility.org/english/readability_test_and_improve.jsp . I [...]
